Going To California

Going To California is a 40"x30" textured seascape inspired by the rocky California coastline. The shoreline is built with real sand, modelling paste, and layered acrylic paint creating richly textured rocks that meet turquoise water splashing gently against the edge. A pale blue sky and soft pastel tones give the scene a light, airy calm. The piece captures the feeling of standing at the coast with salt in the air and invites a sense of openness and quiet ease into a space.
